Barbell Club: Kit Officer

I joined Barbell last year as a newbie weightlifter! I got to learning about all of the sports within the society (powerlifting, weightlifting, crossfit & bodybuilding) - I've developed a passion for what goes into barbell sports outside of the gym! 

As kit officer I hope to help new members by:

- Putting together how-to-cards and advice in collaboration with the social sec's to help understanding what kit is needed if competing

- R&D work to help members make informed decisions on kit purchases, and generally help them understand what they may need by reaching out to our society network, gathering advice and sharing that (whether that be an information evening, how to cards etc)

And to continue supporting our members in the society by:

- getting updated kit for all sports (  we need new singlets rip :)   )

- continuing group orders but with other brands too that cover spec equipment for the other three sports

- if interest is high, collab with the social secretaries to organise factory visits and see how our barbell's/weights are made!

I have experience working on a couple committees as Vice President of IDEAs Soc and Treasurer of Vegan & Veg Soc this past academic year.
