Bangla Society: Treasurer

I would like to nominate myself as treasurer as I am passionate about Bengali culture and growing the Bangla society through many different events. I would like to take on a leadership role to expand my skill set as well as improving my communication skills, by putting myself out of my comfort zone. Being a member of the Bangla society at UCL during my first year and regularly attending the various events has inspired me to take a more active role in the Bangla society. Being part of the committee would enable me to network more and help future students easily settle into UCL by creating a welcoming environment. Being treasurer whilst also continuing with my studies will teach me crucial lessons in time management and the importance of having an organised routine. Finally I look forward to be given the role as treasurer as I would be able to develop my character by undertaking new tasks.
