Hey everyone, its Isha- the many other Ishas in the club sadly deprived me of any originality I thought I had but, nonetheless Y2 Isha would love to be your social sec for next year! RUMS badminton has definitely been a highlight of my time at uni so far and I would absolutely love to be a part in bringing this experience to y'all current, cool members. I promise to keep circle a fun social space for all members to unwind on a Wednesday night with our signature purple brew and hope to foster an environment where all years can get to know each other. Having been the treasurer of UCL Squash club this year, I have built the skillset to be a part of the core committee and I think my approachable, outgoing nature would stand me in good stead to be a familiar face for younger years to speak to for advice or even just those random chats in Mully's which dont make much sense the next day. So if you like what you hear please vote for me for social sec I would really appreciate it :))
Hey everyone, I’m Roma, and I’m running to be one of your social secs for next year!
Having spent a year on the committees for RUMS Events and UCL Hindu Society, I have been involved in the planning, organisation and smooth-running of very successful sell-out events. I can work well in a team with other committee members, and as someone who is organised, enthusiastic and approachable, I believe I have the skillset to execute the role and:
- Continue to deliver fun sportsnights for all members and make it inclusive for drinkers and non-drinkers
- Continue to organise established events and schemes such as UH Night, curry nights and the buddy scheme
- Work with team captains to help bridge the gap between team members & social members by organizing more socials outside of sportsnight, especially for those who aren’t comfortable with the drinking/sportsnight environment
- Encourage a couple of team members to attend social practice each week to help and assist any new players, and to continue the Social League
Having been an active member of RUMS Badminton for almost 2 years, the club has formed a huge part of my time at university. Some of my best memories and friends have been made by being a part of this amazing, inclusive and extremely fun society, and I’d love to have the opportunity to provide the same experience to both existing and new members.
