Austrian Society: President

Born and raised in Linz, I am enthusiastic about Austrian Society introducing Austrian culture to the UCL campus and sustaining its spirit for Austrians abroad!

Beyond that, I firmly believe that Austrian society can fulfil a significant role as a networking society for all members!

As your president, I will ensure

• Cross-university collaboration with other Austrian Societies (KCL, LSE, Oxbridge)
• Closer ties to other organisations linked to Austria (Club Alpbach London, etc.)
• Building a Careers Network to increase networking opportunities: Industry sponsors & collaboration!

Through increased cross-university events & collaboration, we will be able to put on bigger events and introduce speakers of significant magnitude – be it the Austrian ambassador, Austrian journalists or industry figures.

I also believe in closely engaging with other organisations linked to Austria! This will allow further opportunities for networking and connecting to our home country.

As part of the Club Alpbach London, with ties to the European Forum Alpbach, I have experience in spearheading this kind of engagement and will initiate joint events to ensure the best opportunities for society members!

My vision for cultural events is linked to collaborating with German Society (Oktoberfest, Fasching, Perchten).

Additionally, I firmly believe that if you support me in building up this society, we will be empowered to find industry sponsors and facilitate a career network with leading Austrian firms.

As Vice-President of the Austrian Society last year, I helped to coordinate and organise many great events such as a trip to Oxford, a Waltzing workshop and socials. I want to organise more such events, regular socials and more collaborations with other societies in the UK as well as with other London universities and socials in Austria over the holidays.
