Irina Sofronie

Hi everyone! I’m Irina in 1st year Anthropology and I hope to be your next Art Society social media officer. Being a part of Art Society has helped rekindle my passion for art and I'd love to play a greater role in its management.

I’m committed to expanding on Art Soc’s social media presence for greater engagement and event turnout. I am

  • experienced in social media management
  • chronically online

which make me a perfect fit for this role. As part of the committee, I'd like to improve social media activity through regular posting and follower interaction for event promotion and communication. A curated feed with attractive posts will help draw new members, as well as expanding into different social media platforms to raise publicity and the society's profile. My goal is to make Art Society's community more present in the online space. Thank you! :)

Elizabeth Lewis

As a passionate advocate for the arts and an avid user of various social media platforms, I am confident in my ability to contribute positivity and effectively to the Art Society at UCL.

Before coming to UCL I completed an Art Foundation course at the University for the Creative Arts (UCA), in which I was able to explore a range of different mediums and meet other creative individuals. I chose to specialise in graphic design and my main project was based around creating a social media campaign that promoted road safety. Through this I gained valuable insight into creating social media content, and also practiced thinking deeply and critically about my target audience and how to gain the most views.

In addition, I learnt through my UCA experience and being an active member of the Art Society at UCL, that art is an incredibly powerful tool. It can create a supportive and social community in which people are able to relax, escape day to day life, and enjoy creating in a judgement free zone. As a result, a goal of mine is to utilise social media as a way of helping individuals feel welcome within the creative world and the society. In addition, using it to make information about upcoming events and important announcements, clear, aesthetically pleasing, and easy to access across a range of platforms.
