As a passionate advocate for mental health and wellness, I am eager to apply for the role of Welfare Secretary for the UCL Society for the Application of Psychedelics. During my time as a Royal Marine Cadet Sergeant, I was often the point of contact for any concerns my fellow cadets had. My main motivation to apply for this position stems from a profound belief in the potential of psychedelics to revolutionise mental health treatment.

Attending the "Microdosing: Beyond the Hype" seminar led by Aleksandra Wingert, PhD provided me with a new understanding of the scientific research behind psychedelics, the potential benefits of microdosing, and the importance of a supportive community for those exploring these substances.

As Welfare Secretary, I aim to leverage my background in mental health advocacy to create a safe, informed, and supportive environment for society members. My goal is to ensure that our society not only explores the potential of psychedelics but does so in a way that prioritises the well-being and mental health of its members.

I am committed to fostering a community where open dialogue, education, and safety are paramount. By promoting responsible use, reducing stigma, and supporting research and understanding, I believe we can continue to foster a supportive, open, and positive society.
