Hans Yu

Hiya, I'm Hans, a second year history student and also events officer for anisoc during this academic year.

As a member of committee this year, I've been involved in many of the society's activities and had quite a lot of fun making new friends, especially those that regularly come to the weekly social (which mostly includes playing a certain board game ehem). Though there are some ups and downs throughout the year and there were some pretty tough periods, overall it's been fun serving you all in my position and I hope it's been fun for you as well.

With some experience now under my belt, I now want to take it a step further and serve the society as its president in the academic year of 2024-25. Being a part of anisoc has been a lot of fun, and I want to continue my work for the society, including some ideas that I want to implement based on my observations this year.

Firstly, I will focus on maintaining regular events over the course of the year, creating a habit for members to show up and hang out and allowing for a stronger, friendlier atmosphere within the society. Second, I will be more transparent and involve the society as a whole as much as possible. Third, I will maintain the relationships with LAU for more interuni event opportunities, big or small. For committee itself next year, I will communicate frequently with everyone to ensure we can work well together and hopefully be good friends :)
