I personally found anatomy a challenging topic to learn in my first two years of med school, and I really appreciated student-led tutorials such as the ones hosted by Anatomy Society, which gave me a chance to consolidate the anatomy covered in my lectures and ask questions in a smaller, more interactive group. My hope is that in the role of Anatomy Tutorial Director, I will be able to maintain the high quality of tutorials, and improve the outreach and accessibility of tutorials for those who might need them.

Some of my goals include:

  • To increase collaboration with other societies within UCL and other universities in order to widen participation and outreach of tutorials.
  • To maintain strong communications with our society members and target audience, in order to focus our tutorials on the topics that would be most beneficial to them, and to deliver them at periods in the year when they would be most useful.
  • To create an outline of the tutorials that will be happening throughout the year, or implement an Anatomy Society Google Calendar which includes tutorials and other events in order to increase awareness about them.
  • Create a directory of high-yield Anatomy resources, to improve the accessibility of learning.
