I would like to run for Vice President of the ACS as I have a strong passion for inclusivity and creativity within this community. Growing up in a predominantly white area, I understand the challenges of finding a sense of belonging and connecting with individuals who share similar experiences. However, through the ACS, I was able to form meaningful friendships and establish a sense of community with diverse interests. This experience fuelled my determination to ensure that all members of the ACS feel supported and encouraged to also create lasting friendships. As Vice President, I want to lead by example by engaging in social events and cater to the interests of all our members. Furthermore, I am dedicated to supporting the President and the committee through efficient organisation and communication. I will hold members accountable to their roles, creating a strong foundation for the society to flourish. With my friendly and outgoing personality, I am well-equipped to engage with people from various backgrounds, both within the university and at external events. I hope to represent the ACS with professionalism and integrity, ensuring that our society continues to be a welcoming space for all. I am excited about the future of ACS and would love to contribute to its growth and success. I am committed to creating a space where we are not a monolith but celebrate diversity with all members feeling valued and empowered. Thank you for considering me for the role of Vice President.

Being an ACS committee member in my first year at UCL has provided me with the upper hand in understanding the ins and outs of a well rounded society. From helping at events to collaborating with and collecting feedback from our members I believe I am an excellent fit for the role of Vice President. Additionally, my prior experience on the committee catalyses my ability to support the all important president whilst simultaneously breeding an environment for a cohesive and productive society! :)
