Rachel Lawrence

Hi my name is Rachel and I hope to be your sponsorship and careers officer for the next academic year! Having acted as President of the Law for All Society for 23/24, I’ve already acquired a host of experiences, insights and skills that will position me as a strong fit for this role. I secured numerous sponsors for the society, including prestigious magic circle and American firms, such as Allen & Overy and Ropes & Gray and facilitated relationships with these firms to bring to my society some exciting events!

Through such experiences, as well as my frequent presence at a range of networking events, I’m assured of my ability to engage with professionals and succeed in onboarding an exciting line up of sponsors to mobilise the black talent within this society.

I plan to reach out to organisations that reflect the values of our community and I aim to explore a range of sectors to be inclusive of the varying aspirations of the members. To accomplish this will require active effort on my part to listen and deliver, and as the collective success of the black community is such an important part of my ethos, this is something I’d be beyond enthusiastic to engage with. I view myself as someone who is approachable, organised and passionate, and with these qualities I am confident that I can relay to you the opportunities you seek, as well as being someone to talk to about anything you need!

Juniper Joseph

I'd like to stand as the Sponsorship and careers officer as I believe this title can be used as a platform to foster growth and unlock more opportunities for every member of our community.

One of my goals will be to establish partnerships with companies and organisation whose values align with ours and that understand the value of being connected to a society in a whole renowned university. I would love to establish educational seminars and networking/careers event, connecting professionals and students from diversity backgrounds and experiences.

As a BA Education studies student, I deeply understand the need for sponsorships and career opportunities in diverse fields. I've had the pleasure of working with the institution to hold events in my own faculty and I am excited to use the same skills to benefit others if elected.

Thank you for considering me for the role!
