Writers' Society: Treasurer

Writers' soc has been the ultimate safe haven away from my 9-to-5 stare-at-a-screen-all-day doctoral cancer research life (which, is as psychologically draining as it is utterly exciting) -- sometimes a girl's just got to spew out some raw emotions in the form of creative writing!  Being part of the team that runs the show would best allow me to give back to the society.

When I did my undergrad at Durham, I was treasurer for my college's JCR for two years (and somehow got an honorary life membership award because of it).  So, I think I have the relevant experience for this role -- plus, I can bring some STEMness to Writers' soc in the form of budgets and spreadsheets!
