Hi! As First Year Rep, I witnessed the dedication and passion that our members have for promoting and empowering women in the finance sector.
Inspired by this, I have been deeply involved in the society and I am loyal to serve WinF:
- With UCLIS I organised the ESG & Financial feminism speaker event
- I enabled a collaboration for workshops with an ESG Fund Analyst Academy
- Being Head of House and School Prefect fostered my open-mindedness and communication skills
Building onto this committee's solid legacy, my vision includes:
- Inter-University WinF network - uniting with other unis to increase networking, mentorship, sponsor, and internship opportunities
- In London: in person events
- In the UK & Worldwide: Zoom events and panels to gain an even more international perspective
- Expand vision - further develop WinF in areas such ESG Investing, Fintech, IB, and Corporate Finance
- Accordingly, find additional more diversified sponsors
- Collaborate closely with The Guild and UCL societies for events
- WinF Forum - create a platform to exchange:
- Internship opportunities: especially programs targeted to women
- News section with market updates: stay informed pre-interview
- Top tips for interviews and applications
As President, my priority would be to ensure that our society further grows as a friendly, empowering, and educated community that members can turn to and trust to make a positive change by breaking gender stereotypes in the finance industry.
