Daniela Yaremenko

Hello everyone! My name is Daniela, I am a first year student studying European Social and Political Studies and I am running for the position of the Welfare Officer at the Ukrainian Society. 

It’s never been so important to stay united and support each other as it is now. As the Welfare Officer, my primary role will be to ensure that all members of the society feel welcomed and included. I believe it is essential to have an environment which fosters the sense of solidarity and belonging, and where every single one of us can thrive. 

Having studied in four different schools in three different countries, I understand the importance of feeling welcomed and included in a new community, and my aim will be to ensure that the UCL Ukrainian Society is exactly the place where everyone feels valued and respected. 

I am committed to working closely with other members of the society, as well as with any external organisations to ensure that every person has access to any support they may need. I hope our society can always be a place where people are brought together and friendships are formed! 

I am committed to promoting diversity and inclusivity within the society. I believe that together, we can build a strong and united community that celebrates our differences and supports each other through both the good times and the bad
