I have been a member of the society for 2 years now, first as a BUCS M3 member and then as M2 captain. My experience on the committee has given me insights into how the society functions. As M2 captain I have seen first-hand what works and what needs changing in order for the teams to perform to the levels that they can. As M2 captain I have experienced overseeing my team's fixtures, this is something I can directly translate to for all the teams. As management officer, I would be looking to drive the competitive ethos of the teams by facilitating the needs of BUCS and LUSL. 

I have complete confidence in my ability to work with next year’s committee to deliver on our goals. I want to maintain the high standards delivered by the current committee whilst bringing forward new ideas to help the BUCS/LUSL teams be as competitive as they can. Here are my ideas:

BUCS/LUSL

  • Subsidising kit/potential sponsorships. 
  • Additional training sessions. 
  • An end-of-season event to celebrate the achievements of the season. 
  • Preseason training for existing BUCS members. 
  • Encourage team socials, e.g., team dinners.
