Tennis Club: LUSL Captain

I am a committed member of the LUSL team - I go for trainings almost every week and I have made friends with most of the other members. I have so much respect for our current captains as their leadership has created a safe and fun environment to play tennis and be a part of this club. I plan on continuing this, as well as provide organisation and support to the team. It is important that I ensure everyone is comfortable and contributes as much as they can into trainings, events and matches. I also want to be welcoming and accommodating to new members of the club and the LUSL team in 2023/2024. I am well aware and ready to take on the responsibilities as a captain, keeping our activities and members in check. Besides that, I want to document the memories we’ve made to look back on in the future :)

Hi everyone! I really enjoyed playing with LUSL the past 2 years and would love to become captain! I think it would be fun to organize other activities outside of practice like gym seshes or running/biking groups to reinforce team building outside of practice! I also want to keep organizing events with BUCS and RnD like the charity tournaments and other fun things! Miss yall :)

Hey everyone! My name is Nicole and I am currently a first-year Arts and Sciences student. I am running for LUSL captain since I have enjoyed the friendly LUSL environment coming to UCL. Playing for the LUSL team, I have been fortunate to witness the dedication, skill and enthusiasm of each member within the society. 

As tennis captain, I would be committed to fostering a sense of community within the team. By working together, we can achieve even greater heights in our individual and collective tennis journeys. I would also strive to provide opportunities for all members to grow and develop, regardless of their skill level or experience. 

This is a position I hold to a great extent and I hope to be able to contribute to not only fun times during trainings but also to more moments of celebration. 

Hey! I'm Charlotte, a second year Biomed student.

This past year, I was on tennis committee as social sec and had a great time! Next year, I'd love to try something new.

I've really enjoyed LUSL this year and want to get more involved. As LUSL captain, my goal would be to make people's experience as open and fun as mine has been.

I think I could make a good captain because I'm very organised and dedicated. On top of that, I'd like to think that I'm approachable. I can also promise that I won't show up to practice hungover (unlike some).
