I have been a member of M2 for the previous 2 years, and would love to become more involved in the team next year as captain. I feel that by being around the team, and watching my previous captains, I have a good understanding of what being a captain really involves.

Building a strong morale within the team is crucial, and would be one of my priorities. I would stress the importance of commitment to trainings, so that everyone can practise together and learn from each other, as well as making sure I organise team socials, both after sessions and outside of the tennis court, to ensure everyone feels comfortable and enjoys being a part of M2.

Another area I would like to implement is an additional training session throughout the week, either in the form of pre-match training at Garden Halls, or a more general open weekly BUCS training session. Either way, I think it would really benefit our progress as a team.

I have also really enjoyed the cross team events we've had these past couple of years, such as charity tournaments and curry night, and want to help continue these, while also building on them, for example organising our cross-team dinners earlier in the year so that everyone gets to know each other at an earlier stage.

Finally, as an active member of the tennis society, I have a good relationship with most of the other members, and would therefore be able to work well with and give efficient support to whoever the other captains/management officer will be.

Alon D Hannuna

I am standing for M2 captain as I believe that M2 should be more than just a team of people meeting once a week. I believe that M2 should be a community of strong players wanting to helping their teammates grow - both on and off court.

If nominated, I will make sure that there are more team bonding experiences than previous years, which will maintain and grow the accepting, warm & friendly environment that competitive tennis sometimes lacks. I hope to instil confidence on court through active coaching and encouragement to participation in all tennis society events. I will try to hold one other session 'off-timetable' to support players who want more tennis time.

I would constantly make sure the team fits everyones needs, and would send monthly questionnaires to see how the team could improve, and how I could improve as a captain. I will also make sure my players are heard by having regular get togethers.

I aspire to continue to make M2 a close-knit and competitive community, ensuring that the level of tennis is high, & the comradeship too.

I would love to be nominated for M2 Captain as I believe I have the right people skills, tennis skills and management skills. I've been a manager of 12 professional Great Britain tennis players talking them and coaching them in Israel, and competing and in the Maccabiah games, so I believe I have the ability to lead a great performing team!
