Sara Postacchini

Hi! I’m Sara and I’m a first year Arts and Sciences student. I would love to be part of the TEDx committee as the marketing director.

Looking at our society’s current marketing activities has made me feel inspired to take on this responsibility and continue with its activeness. The TEDx society has an important role in opening dialogue about important issues, so I believe that promoting our events and activities are just as important. I would ensure that we have a strong, interactive social media presence and would like to help organise collaborations with other societies, perhaps also based on request by our society members.

Although I have not been as active in the society as I would have liked to be in Term 1, I will commit to my role and responsibility as the marketing director of the committee, working with the rest of our committee to create an environment that everyone will feel welcome to participate in. I feel that I have the creativity and communication skills to be the marketing director, so I hope to receive your vote for this role. Thank you!

Hi I’m Christine Lee, currently an undergraduate studying law, and am standing to be the Marketing Director of TEDxUCL in the coming academic year!

As a part of the TEDx marketing team this year, I am familiar with the operations behind promoting TEDx events, including managing our social media pages and designing all sorts of merchandise such as banners, badges and conference-specific logos. I thoroughly enjoy the creative process, and am ready to take on more responsibility directing and overseeing the marketing team next year.

I aim to continue our endeavour to perfect TEDxUCL’s brand so as to attract and engage more people, bringing likeminded students from different fields and backgrounds together to participate in our discourse. I have many ideas including how to further increase cohesion between our marketing materials, and creating merch for committee members to foster a sense of community. I promise to be active, responsive, and organised as Director, and ensure the smooth running of the marketing team.

I look forward to working with the team in the future, bringing TEDxUCL to greater heights!
