Although most people have only gotten to know me better in the past 4 months. I've attended almost all the events hosted by TWSOC. While some members may wonder why I'm only now applying to become part of the committee as a Year 4 student who will soon be graduating, I'd like to share some context. Due to COVID and a gap year, I spent the past two years in Taiwan and was unable to participate in committee activities during that time. However, I did help with the video publication of the Food Festival during my first year, and upon returning to London, I eagerly attended nearly all the events this year. In fact, I even organized an after-party for almost 20 people at the bowling event last month, which I'm grateful to say was a success. I would like to take my last year at UCL an important chance to provide TWSOC with valuable leadership experience I had during the two years of my working experience as the team leader.

While I was in Taipei, I worked full-time in interior design, starting as a Designer's Assistant and eventually becoming a Design Leader responsible for overseeing four projects. This experience taught me valuable communication, leadership as well as project management skills that I believe will be beneficial in leading TWSOC as president. As a Design Lead, I not only needed knowledge in the design field, but also had to lead other design assistants and interns to complete tasks so they could eventually take on important responsibilities on their own.
