Taiwanese Society: Head of Events

Hey everyone! I’m Andy, a first-year student in management science and would like to nominate myself for the head of events.

The Taiwanese society has been a home to me, and established a sense of belonging and comfort for many others in the community. Previous members of the team have created an inclusive, interactive, and spirited atmosphere for students of all cultural backgrounds. Yet, there is always room for improvement, of which I would like to be a part of. Therefore, I believe it’s time to ‘give back’ to the society through means of planning and hosting exciting events in the future :)

My main responsibilities will be revolved around the facilitation of meetings and communication channels between committees to offer event ideas of high quality. In my role, I will guarantee that all voices will be heard, specifically with respect to any feedback on ways to improve upcoming events. Collaborative social events with the Taiwanese societies of other London universities will also be hosted to assure you an opportunity to expand your network beyond just UCL! I also would like to dedicate the potential opportunity to commit as a head of events to the celebration of cultural traditions/calendar events, to share the cultural value and knowledge of Taiwan to others!
