I want to run for welfare officer because over the year I have loved the club and would really like to contribute in some way. I am a second year medical student and was a lifeguard prior to university for 3 years, as well as being a teacher at a lifesaving club for 2 years. Therefore my first aid training is up to date and I am confident in it. I understand that having a responsibility for members' wellbeing is very important and feel that I can meet the demands of the role well.
