Krishnamohan Nagarajan

Hi guys

I'm running for the position of President. As someone with years of experience, passion and dedication for the sport, I'm committed to organising events and setting up tournaments, that will be inclusive for all students to participate in. With strong leadership and a clear vision, I'm confident that I can help take our table tennis club to the next level. Thank you for your consideration and I hope you vote for me.

David Phillips

Hi! My name’s David, and I’m in my 2nd year of Biomedical Sciences BSc. I’ve been playing table tennis since my early teens with experience both as a casual player as well as at club level in Japan. This year, I have enjoyed my role as social session captain and am looking to take on further responsibilities within the club by nominating myself for club president.

The club has a wide range of players, from first-timers to competitive players who will represent UCL in fixtures. My aim as president would be to deliver sessions that cater for everyone’s differing preferences and abilities by working with our vice-president and the rest of the committee.

For social sessions, I would work with the social session captain to ensure that playing opportunities are given fairly regardless of ability, so that sessions run smoothly and are kept enjoyable for all.

For the competitive team, I would work alongside team captains, as well as communicating with players to make sure their needs are being met. For example, I would prioritise sourcing higher quality training equipment such as nets, net posts, balls, etc. for practice sessions, and work with Coach Huang to make sure players are getting the most out of their sessions.

With the re-introduction of a social secretary, I would make sure that the club provides a of variety social events and opportunities including nights out to table tennis bars and mini-tournaments with prizes during sessions.
