Stage Crew Society: Equipment Officer

Hi, I’m Lucy and I have really enjoyed being a member of Stage Crew for the past year and getting to know everyone. Technical theatre has been a passion of mine for the last 7 years and I have been lucky enough to gain experience in lighting, sound and stage management and work in lots of different venues over this time. These experiences have helped me develop a deep affection with coiling cables as well as appreciating the value of making sure equipment is maintained and looked after.

If elected, my goals would be to continue the amazing work already carried out by previous committee members such as keeping an up-to-date inventory, tidying and looking after equipment stores and looking into the possibility of purchasing new equipment. I would like to encourage as many people as possible to get more hands on with equipment from all aspects of theatre, so as to give everyone as many opportunities as possible to try new things and refine their existing skills.
