Hi everyone!

My name is Niuni Amarasinghe and I am nominating myself to be a Charity Officer for UCL Sri Lankan Society next year!

Having worked with the society this year as a Treasurer, I have gained a lot of experience in running events and connecting with charities for fundraising. At the beginning of this academic year, we collaborated with Ocean Stars Trust and raised money through a food and drink sale – including mutton rolls, cupcakes, and cream soda! In the next year, I hope to organise a lot more charity events such as:

  • Bake sales
  • Kottu nights
  • Charity talent show
  • Games night
  • Karaoke night

I hope to help with the society and make it grow even more in the next year for both Sri Lankans and non-Sri Lankans.
