Before coming to London, I was very worried about whether I would fit in as I didn't know many people coming to study in UCL. However, through the many initiatives of UCL Singsoc such as Orientation, Christmas Dinner and CNY Dinner, I was able to find a close knit community away from home that would give me many fond memories of my time here in London.

After benefiting from the hard work put in by the previous committee to organize all these activities, I was inspired to run for this year's committee in order to pay it forward to my fellow Singaporeans. I feel that I am suitable for the job as my friendliness makes me easy to approach, allowing me to connect to other members in Singsoc and design activities that would better cater to their interests and needs. Being part of the junior committee, I was able to assist in the planning and execution of events within Singsoc this year and I believe the experience I have will enable me to give valuable inputs on future activities.

If I am elected, I will carry on the work done by the previous committee but I also hope to launch new initiatives based on feedback from members. I will provide more support to organizing sports activities in Singsoc by collaborating with other UCL societies (e.g. Msoc) as well as Singsocs from other London universities. I also want to organize more small scale activities (i.e. movie/picnics) on a regular basis to engage people throughout the year and build a sense of community amongst Singsoc members.
