Salsa Society: Salsa Performance Team Captain

I joined the salsa society as someone with no knowledge of salsa in September, and I can confidently say that it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. This society not only has a very involved and caring committee, but members who share a similar sentiment.

Joining the Salsa Performance Team in November has been incredible. Being part of it not only has reminded me of my love for dance, but I’ve been able to meet new people and work with an amazing choreographer! Working towards the performances has been a fantastic experience I wish to have again.

It would be my pleasure to continue this experience next year whilst also ensuring my peers are feeling confident in their team and their position within the society. I always aim to create a safe and comfortable atmosphere around me, and becoming the Salsa Performance Team Captain would enable me to ensure my team mates are considered in the decision making of the society. I would love to share this same experience with the next team, and work with the future Performance coordinator to ensure everyone in the team gains the most from this experience.
