Hi I'm Zach and I've been part of RAX for the last 18 months. Running has always been something I've loved. For me it is both relaxing and challenging. I want the running club to be accessible to any student who loves running or is even slightly interested in running. Being part of this welcoming club is great. I personally look forward to it every week and enjoyed the chance to run in Wales at BUCS, and in x-country meets. However, just as much, I love social runs around Primrose Hill. I want new members to discover RAX to be the friendly and inclusive club I joined 18 months ago, whatever people feel about their ability to run and whoever they are. I want everyone to feel comfortable about being part of the group and particular. As well as being a friendly Rax-er, in terms of technical skills, I'm confident with Excel.

Hi, I’m Ceci, and I am standing for Treasurer of RAX. I’ll be going into my second year at UCL studying Global Humanitarian Studies. I’m a track/XC athlete and sometimes lead the Wednesday social runs. You may have also met me at other socials, competitions, or one of our many RAX fundraising events that I helped to organize. This past year, I’ve been on the RAX committee as the Community Outreach and Events Officer, a role that I love and which has given me experience in organizing events and promoting the club, such as our Landmarks 5km Run and our other Children’s Trust fundraisers. Now, I hope to be able to take my involvement with the club a step further by becoming next year’s Treasurer!

In addition to my experience on the committee, I have previously held leadership roles as XC and athletics captain and as student council president in my final year of high school. Such experiences have taught me the collaboration and organizational skills I believe are necessary to be a Treasurer. As student council president, I learned to budget on behalf of a club and communicate effectively with wider administrative staff: both of these are skills that are essential to being a Treasurer. I am also proficient in the use of Excel to manage funds.

I am passionate about running and about RAX, and I hope that as Treasurer, I’ll be able to continue to share this passion and bring new opportunities to our club members.
