Romanian and Moldovan Society: Marketing Vice-President

Hello! My name is Milena Apostu, I am a first year student and study ESPS (European Social and Political Studies). My favourite A-level I did was business, where I obtained an A* and I was fascinated specifically by the marketing section, because it is connected to all aspects of business: product development, distribution methods, sales and advertising. My passion for promoting reflects in my sixth form years, where, as a prefect, I successfully held speeches advertising my school to potential students and parents. Now I am promoting a barber shop business by sharing flyers and on social media. This society means a lot to me, as I didn’t have any Romanians in my old school, and the lack of them allowed me to realise how much I miss my country, especially the people. As we are not many Romanians here in London and in the UK in general, I find it essential for us to stick together and be able to have the company of people who share our culture. Therefore, there is nothing I would like more than to get involved in this society and to share its importance with the world. Being away from my country for 5 years now has made me realise how proud I am to be Romanian and how happy I am to be surrounded by our people. This is a feeling I wish for everyone to experience and hence, being part of the committee may help achieve this.
