Making a difference to the lives of those less fortunate than your own is by far the most important and rewarding contribution anyone can make. From experience, the times in my life that I remember most fondly are those in which I've helped someone in need. My primary motive in running for president is to help as many students as I can in making this same contribution in the most fulfilling way possible. Whether it's something as close to home as donating to your local food bank, or as far off as ensuring African villages have a clean water supply, I think I have the skills to make UCL RAGs an extremely active, engaging and fulfilling place for all students to help all kinds of fundraisers.

I have a proven track record in raising money for charity. This year I have been a Student Engagement Officer for the NSPCC, in which I was particularly active during Christmas time in raising money for children suffering from poverty, illness and abuse over the holiday period. I also partake in regular sandwich runs for the homeless with my church.

My main goal as president of UCL RAGs is greatly increasing both the quantity and diversity of events. I'd like to organise some trips across the UK in which people sponsor us, with all proceeds going to charity. On the smaller side, I have plans to host a biweekly pub crawl, with donations being made to a different charity each time. Overall, I think this would put RAGs on the map as one of the best societies for students to get involved in!
