Quant Society: Head of Events

Hi! I am James and I am running for Head of Quant. It has been a great learning opportunity to be a member of the Quant Society in the past year, and now with the area continuing to gain rapid interest, I hope to play a role in further expanding peoples knowledge on the subject. There are two main ways I hope to do this:

Speaker Events - I hope to invite speakers who can provide unique insights into their role and their career path, as well as ensuring these events are of the highest quality by also working with related societies.

Non related events - I believe in further improving the sense of community as playing a crucial role in allowing the society to progress and expand, allowing it to maximise its potential. These events will also be helpful in meeting those with similar interests, where everyone can also learn from each other.

With a background of hosting large football summer camp events, as well as in teaching, I believe I hold the necessary organisational skills in ensuring the events hosted will be of extreme usefulness for members.

Through my experience this year in Quant Society, I have had the opportunity to meet great people and learn more about the industry. As Event's Officer this year, I have organised multiple successful events, both social and career-centred, and am devoted to the sustained success of this society. As your Head of Events for the future, I am confident that I will continue to provide enjoyable and enlightening events for our members.
