Shweta Sharma

Hi! My name is Shweta and I am studying Population Health Sciences with Data Science. As an individual with Punjabi heritage and having spent a significant amount of time in Punjab, I have a deep and personal connection to my cultural background.

I had the privilege of serving as a First Year Representative for the society in my first year. During my time as a representative, I had the opportunity to help organise and execute various events such as Chit Chaat, Karaoke Night, Lohri Celebrations, and many more. These experiences have given me a strong foundation in event planning, communication, and teamwork.

What I found most fulfilling about serving as a representative was building strong friendships with the committee members and getting to know members of the society. This has inspired me to take my involvement with the society to the next level by applying for the Vice President position.

If selected as Vice President, I would work to bring more events that celebrate and preserve our culture while also building our community. I believe that my experience and passion for the society would make me a valuable member of the committee. I am excited about the opportunity to continue serving the UCL Punjabi Society and contributing to its mission and goals.
