Punjabi Society: Social Secretary

I enjoy taking part in events and I feel that it is important to create an environment that is fun for students outside of academics. As a first year representative, I have enjoyed working alongside the committee to organise social events throughout the year, including karaoke night and Lohri, and encouraged students to get involved. I would love to further my involvement by being social secretary and continue uniting students regardless of their background.

My resilience and commitment was demonstrated in my role as Medical society president in sixth form. I managed the structure of sessions so students could engage and further their knowledge. I was the Action Changes Things society president where I organised fundraising events, including multicultural days and festive events and a Haderech leader where I developed my leadership, communication and teamwork skills. I seek constructive outcomes in discussions and possess excellent interpersonal skills that allow me to work well with other students. My passion for art develops my creative thinking and allows me to generate, create, and compose new ideas. I have high levels of motivation and love to get people involved in order to reach that goal. I believe that my combination of skills and experience makes me the ideal candidate to take on the role as social secretary. I have demonstrated my reliability and engagement throughout my previous roles and hope to develop this society through different events.
