Paediatric and Child Health Society: Treasurer

Hello! I’m Fritz and I’m running for Treasurer of PCHS. I’m a second-year medical student and will be pursuing an iBSc in Paediatrics for my third year. I have a profound interest in child health from my rewarding volunteering experiences with sick children at Origami Volunteering Project and Spectrum, as well as from mentoring underprivileged sixth-form students with Target Medicine.

Previously serving as the Logistics and Events Officer of PCHS, I gained insight into how the society runs and had experience creating mailing lists and planning events. As treasurer, I endeavour to:

1. Support my committee members in hosting in-person talks and collaborating with other UCL societies. This increases the activity and exposure of our society, building our society audience and expanding our sponsorship chances.
2. Improve the social media presence of our society through regular posting on our Instagram, e.g. bringing back Welfare Wednesday and adding Article of the Month. This creates an active image for PCHS and attracts more sponsors.
3. Ensure good communication. This includes fostering good relationships with SU, as well as reaching out to child-related societies in other London universities to seek collaboration and partnership opportunities.

If elected as treasurer, I will strive to achieve my above goals for our society, support bigger events for our members and secure long-term funding. Thank you.
