Paediatric and Child Health Society: President

Hi everyone! I'm Ahad, I'm currently a fifth year medical student.

Child health encompasses many areas of development: emotional, behavioural, cognitive, and social.   
As president I would ensure UCL students interested in working with children in the future gain a wide range of opportunities to explore this field.  

This is what I hope to achieve:  
• Welfare Wednesday - to disseminate information about developmental disorders such as cerebral palsy, autism, muscular dystrophy and ADHD, and promote linked charities.  
• Talks from experts - to learn how child health is promoted in the community by educators and the wider team (OT, SLT, PT, psychologist, SEN, etc), with a focus on career options in this field.  
• Comprehensive database on opportunities available to work and volunteer with children as UCL students.
