Netball Club (RUMS): Treasurer

Hey everyone :) My name is Saffie and I am running for RUMS Netball Treasurer this year!

I’ve been part of the club for 3 years now and, as well as playing in the 2s, have held 2 committee positions which I think have given me a good insight into what the club is all about. Through my role as fixtures and social sec I have gotten to know a lot of the clubs members, managed spreadsheets and events, and dealt with the SU many times. I know the responsibilities that come with being a Treasure and have watched Rach do a brilliant job of it this year, so will be keen to learn from her and others to make sure I do the best that I can for everyone.

I will reach out to companies to try to get some sponsorship deals for us, and would like to increase the range of kit we offer (so please let me know what you might like)! I appreciate the role involves working alongside the President and would be there as much as possible to support them in any way that is necessary.

I’ve gained a lot of friends and happy memories from being part of RUMS netball and hope to be able to give back to the club a little and make sure that others can have the same great experiences that I have! Thanks for reading and good luck to everyone running! :)

I'm Rachel and in 4th year and I'd absolutely love to be your next Treasurer! 

I have been part of RUMS Netball since first year and since then have held 3 committee positions, all of which I have really enjoyed. My roles so far as Vice Captain, Social Sec and Welfare and Inclusivity Officer have given me multiple perspectives of the club and have helped me to develop the skills I hope to use as Treasurer.

Throughout my time on committee I have organised both social and welfare events, a match with an LGBTQ+ netball team and have implemented ways to make our club more inclusive. 

If voted in as Treasurer I will fully commit to the role and do all I can to ensure RUMS Netball is the best it can be :))
