MedTech Society: Events Officer

Hi Everyone!

My name is Zsofia, I'm a 2nd year Mathematics student at UCL, I've been a member of the MedTech society since the beginning of my university studies. I find the applications of different technologies (especially AI) in medicine truly fascinating, and so biomaths is my greatest passion. I would love to get more involved in the life of the society, so I'm putting myself forward for the Events Officer role.

A little note on my relevant experience:

This year I was elected to be Student Representative of all second year students of UCL’s Mathematics Department. I have also been Ambassador of the Association of Hungarian Women in Science since 2019, advocating for girls to have equal opportunities in STEM, as well as organising events for high school girls to immerse themselves in science. Moreover, since the beginning of uni, as Student Outreach Officer of the Hungarian Youth Association I’ve been connecting Hungarian university students studying abroad, as well as representing them and organising both formal and informal events. At high school I was president of the Scientific Student Circle for 2 years, organising talks and visits to universities and labs.

I will bring all this experience, enthusiasm and open-mindedness to organise both fun socials and  professional carreer related events for you as Events Officer of the society. Thank you for reading my manifesto, I would be honoured if you voted on me.
