What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

I will continue hosting regular events (such as quiz nights, speed friendings, etc) and collabs with unis around London (and the world!) like I have this year, and in addition:
1.) I will set up easy drop ins and feedback forms so that people can suggest activities and we can make them happen
2.) Set up an "events mailing list" so those who want to can be emailed about events coming up
3.) Hold monthly fundraisers and monthly drag nights/events (especially to help students who want to get in drag)
4.) Hold 1 online event every fortnight (in addition to at least 1 in person event a week)

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I have been on the committee of the LGBTQIA+ Network since October 2020 and thus I will be very valuable in the transition between the 2 academic years. This year in the network I have been "Assistant Social Secretary" in addition to my Disabled Rep Role, and I have worked very hard in planning events for our LGBTQIA+ community, especially in freshers' week. This year I also contacted 93 university LGBQ+ groups across London and the UK (and even across the world, such as Auckland!) to organise collabs, and the ones that have happened so far have been amazing! I would love to continue this.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I have the experience and motivation that will ensure that I will not let you down. I will listen to feedback and make sure that your ideas are heard in order to help improve your UCL experience. I will continue my work with the 93 different universities (and contact even more!) so that you can meet LGBTQ+ students from around the world and make new friends, and I will continue hosting a range of events so that you can meet other people in UCL. I will also always be there for you all if you ever need support, signposting or a friend, and will continue fighting for LGBTQIA+ rights and beyond.
