Hungarian Society: Treasurer

Moving to the UK from Hungary in the middle of my teenage years made me miss out on some of the things that could only happen by interacting with Hungarian people, such as not thinking about how to phrase something in English I want to say to someone.
This year, the Hun Soc was a space where I could go back to my ''roots'' once in a while. Since I liked the people there and heard that the society might have issues with sufficient number of members next year, I thought that I should be a part of the committee to help avoid that. Especially because I am a first year currently, and wouldn't want to spend the rest of my university years without this community.
Moreover, in my opinion the Treasurer position suits me the best from the other options, because I simply like managing and being around budgets and money. I also do Economics, for which people's first thoughts are normally money, which isn't exactly correct by the way, but I still think my degree and future career aspirations make this position suitable for me.
Overall, I believe that I will be able to help the society's future community as a whole, and also gain new experience and skills in leadership.
