Yige Wang

Hi, I’m Yige, a second-year History of Art student currently. Attending the events in HOA society in the past year has been inspiring and encouraging for me and my career of researching in the field of art history. As an art historian, I would provide the same opportunities that I have always taken for granted for other students in our university. Not only making friends and getting together with people who have similar interests and vocations, I hope HOA society would be a place where students from different cultures could explore the profound historical heritage of art and visual culture. I would like to organise events that cover a variety of themes, including museum visits, talks, film screenings, discussions, etc.

It would be my pleasure and privilege to be the president of HOA society as a second-year student, who might be a good supporter to all who are new to the university and those who are interested in our discipline. I would definitely be willing to help members in the society to explore art history as a way of thinking and seeing art as well as the socio-cultural milieu in which artworks are produced, thereby developing critical and academic creativity through various inspiring events.
