Her Campus Society: President

Hi, I'm Noura, the current Her Campus President, and I will be running for President again for the 2023-24 year! Being the President for this school year has allowed me to reflect on what the society has done and what could be expanded upon. Thus, as President for the 2023-24 school year, my three main aims would be: 

1. Increase In-Person Events Throughout the Year: If I were voted in as President, I would work to increase the number of events throughout the school year. I would work with the Events Team on drafting a full-year calendar to outline events in advance to run throughout the year. These events would include museum trips, speaker events, coffee socials, and more!
2. Increase Communication Between the Committee and the Wider Society: This is crucial to the success of the society and events. Next year I would increase communication about upcoming events and the writing rota and encourage suggestions by the broader society to the Committee.
3. Increase the Community/Togetherness of the Society through Socials and Consistent Communication: If I were voted as President, I would strive to make the society feel more community-based. As the society runs now, we focus most on the magazine side. However, in the new school year, I plan to expand the society to become more of a community through socials, communication, and additional opportunities like writer meet-ups, hang-outs, etc.
