Having joined the golf society since the start of the term, I have been immersed in the society and have since been turning up to all the range sessions where possible. I am running for Treasurer since it would be the ideal position in which I could demonstrate my passion for golf yet contributing to the society as a whole and also, providing a better experience for other members.

These are the main aims as treasurer:

  1. More range balls. Having been going to the range sessions, I understand that there is a budget on how much could be spent on each session. As treasurer, I will try to allocate our financial resources in a better manner so there would be a more than adequate amount for each member to practice with.

  1. Subsidised green fees. Yes, I know that the green fees aren’t particularly cheap especially on the weekends, and it is quite annoying having to pay £27 to play in a scramble where apparently you can lose your ball even if it’s in the middle of the fairway. I will try my utmost to underwrite the green fees since playing golf doesn’t have to break the bank.

Having been introduced to golf since a young age and being absorbed in the game, as well as caring deeply about the golf society, I am confident that I am the ideal candidate for this position. Please join me if you would like to see that vision become a reality.
