Go (Weiqi, Baduk) Society: Welfare Officer

Hello everyone! I'm Mike and I would love to be your welfare officer for UCL Go(Weiqi) Society! I would like to be more involved in the organisation of the society, as I think it is a society where I could have a positive impact. I am a huge fan of the game, and I was so excited to see that the society is back this year. Although I’m not a very good player, but I hope I can help to create an encouraging and inclusive community where we can motivate and teach each other. In the role of Welfare Officer, I will ensure that our society is inclusive and welcoming, where all members feel supported. I would take all opinions and feedbacks with upmost seriousness and ensure everyone feel represented in the society. I will strive to manage any concerns and issues you may have with utmost care and ensure these issues are resolved in the best possible way. Alongside this, I hope to encourage all members to share ideas on what the society should look like, any improvement we can make and how we can enhance the community’s experience. I would like to make sure that everyone feels they are getting the most they can from this society and that this society is a place where you can meet like-minded people, have a relaxing time and most importantly, enjoy and have a fun time!  Thank you in advance for your support!
