First Generation Society : President

I have a strong passion for helping and supporting first-generation students, and I believe that I can make a positive impact by leading the UCL First Gen society. As someone with strong leadership skills, I have a desire to develop and hone them further through my presidency.

I also want to use this opportunity to help others through offering members the opportunities that you may not have had access to such as exclusive internships. I would continue to host various social events where you are able to meet others of a similar background and unwind. Having already taken on the role of Sponsorship Offer at UCL First Gen, I have an in-depth insight into the workings behind what makes the society successful, and I am sure I would be able to follow through and continue to make the society better as president.

I have a strong desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others, and I believe being president of UCL First Gen would be the best place to help others as someone who is aware of difficulties you may face as a first generation student.

Running for president of UCL First Gen would be a challenging and most definitely rewarding experience as I would love to help first generation students not only develop career-wise, but also feel at home in a university which can most definitely be difficult at times.
