Film and TV Society: Studio, Equipment and IT Manager (SEIM)

As a current interim SEIM, I am standing for the opportunity to continue to run and revamp the logistics of the film society. I plan to reorganise and tidy the studio, making it clearer to members the equipment to accessible to them whilst using the space, as well as improve behind the scenes to ensure equipment is adequately and efficiently stored, maintained, repaired and organised. I will also be endeavouring to keep studio and equipment bookings as simple, seamless, and professional as possible, in addition to expanding as much as possible the available kit to use.

Already being an SEIM as of term 2 gives me the necessary familiarity and experience I need in keeping the society running smoothly and in enacting improvements to it. Along with this I have a vast technical knowledge built from the previous 5 years I have spent as a Semi-professional videographer and photographer so I have plenty of knowledge and advice that I will be able to impart onto the society as a whole.

I feel extremely honoured to have the position I am in, especially as I am in my first year at UCL, this is a really good chance to have a longer-term constructive input on the society’s management than would usually be the case, so I thank you for your consideration and hope you choose me to continue to help running the behind the scenes of this great institution.
