Advocating for women’s rights is a passion of mine and pervades almost every sphere of my activities – from outright advocacy to daily conversations. Having already served as the Vice-President of the society, being elected President will help me further my aim to make the society a more active, inclusive and influential force in the university, this time with the backing and support of the Union.

Growing up at an all-girls boarding school my whole life and having occupied key leadership positions there, I’m quite familiar with working for and with women from diverse backgrounds and age groups. As the President of the society, I wish to increase collaborations with The Female Lead parent organization, hold intimate round-table interview sessions with influential women leaders of today, and introduce panel discussions on key topics with each panelist representing a different aspect of intersectionality. I want to use the opportunity to increase the society members' influence in how the society runs, keeping in mind the views and values of all. I aim to increase the base of the society among people all genders, because increasing women leaders doesn’t just benefit women, it benefits everybody.
