Hey EELs! As the one who founded and created the society and has served as President this year, I am really hoping to be elected as president again for next year! This year has been super amazing and I am so happy with all that has been achieved and the languages that have been taught and the friendships that have been made! If elected, I will continue ensuring that the things that people love (the socials, the language classes, the groupchat, the fun and chill vibes etc.) continue, in addition to supporting the Conlanging classes that are so brilliantly run by Amy & Rose. Additionally, I will work in ensuring that the language classes start earlier next year, including Esperanto, so that as much content can be learnt during the year. I also want to ensure that lessons have the option to be hybrid so that people can attend from home, and to hopefully upload some language videos on our new YouTube channel! I also would like to organise more socials/language events/ projects, such as creating a language festival and glossaries of endangered languages vocab for future students, in addition to launching the "Learn a Language project" and fundraisers. I also want to continue making our society as unique and happy as possible: celebrating our members and committee and their achievements (and birthdays), doing fun activities such as fun movie screenings and Kahoots, having humour in the groupchats and just making the society the most fun it can be, as that's the most important! ❤❤
