As a passionate and driven student, I am honoured to run for the position of Head of Sponsorships. Having been an active committee member of this society for the past year, I believe I have a good understanding of the challenges faced by the society and the opportunities that lie ahead. As Head of Sponsorships, I would like to bring my knowledge and expertise to the table, and work collaboratively with you all to ensure the success of our society.

I understand that our society is heavily reliant on sponsorships to fund our events and activities, and that securing these sponsorships can be a challenging task. However, I believe that with the right approach, we can attract the right sponsors and build long-lasting relationships with them. Here are my key priorities for the role of Head of Sponsorships:

  1. Building Strong Relationships: One of my key priorities will be to build strong relationships with sponsors. I believe that building a good rapport with sponsors is key to securing long-term partnerships, and I will work hard to ensure that our sponsors feel valued and appreciated.
  2. Seeking Out New Opportunities: In addition to maintaining our existing sponsorships, I will actively seek out new opportunities to bring in additional funds to the society.

I am excited about the opportunity to serve as your Head of Sponsorships and to work with you all to take our society to new heights.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sujai Nandedkar

My name is Sujai, and I am thrilled to announce my candidacy for the Head of Sponsorships position. As a 2nd-year Mechanical Engineering student, I have gained a unique perspective on what companies find valuable. Furthermore, as an events executive at UCLES this year, I have gained valuable insights into what our community finds most beneficial to interact with.

I am excited to share that, as the former Head of Sponsorships at London Strategic Consulting, I have honed my networking and pitching skills to raise over £4,000 from five corporates within a month. With the potential of our Engineering Society, I am confident that we can revamp our value proposition and raise over £10,000 next year.

As a community, we have the opportunity to expand our reach and provide high-quality career-focused events and socials. Therefore, I am committed to expanding the Sponsorship Team's capacity to keep in touch with companies and provide even more sponsored events for our members. I believe it is crucial that we come together and make the Engineering Society the best it can be.

Thank you for considering my candidacy for Head of Sponsorships. With your support, I am confident that we can take our community to new heights. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to me on my Instagram @sujainandedkar, or by email [email protected]

Ashley Tsoi

Hi everyone! I am Ashley and I would love to be your UCLES Head of Sponsorship.

I believe that sponsorship is not just about securing financial support, but also creating value for both parties. As the founder of a society during Sixth Form, I have gained experience in coordinating outreach and successfully formed partnerships with professionals in many fields of expertise. This provided me with essential communication, interpersonal and organisational skills that I am thrilled to be able to put to use.

I would like to build on this experience to expand the valuable sponsorship network that UCLES has by fostering new relationships while keeping in touch with companies that previous teams have liaised with. From these connections, I will organise more social, career-focused and networking events that include all engineering disciplines to create opportunities for all members in various aspects.

Ultimately, my goal as Head of Sponsorship is to deliver meaningful partnerships that benefit both our society and our sponsors to drive mutual success.
