Emily Ran Fan

I am highly compassionate about our transition into renewable energy as I believe it will be an enormous and essential step towards building our future. Fun events, practical sessions and meaningful discussions - are what I look forward to bringing to this wonderful society. I would love to hear and embrace the ideas of everyone and work hard to bring them into reality.

I have relevant experience working as a debating and sustainability captain back in secondary school, as well as conducting research regarding carbon emissions, sustainable infrastructure and electric vehicles.

István Halász

Dear members of the Energy Society,

My name is Isu, I am a second-year Mechanical Engineer, and I am excited to announce my candidacy for the position of Events Officer. If elected, I will work tirelessly to ensure that society events are engaging, informative, and fun. Please read my manifesto below:

Sustainable Practices: As an Energy Society, we have a responsibility to lead by example and promote sustainable practices. I will ensure all events are designed with the environment in mind by minimising waste and sourcing low-carbon beers.

Events: I will aim to organise various events catering to our members' diverse interests. From technical workshops to social events, something for everyone. I will also encourage collaborations with other societies, clubs, and organisations to broaden our scope.

Networking: One of the key benefits of being part of a society is the opportunity to network with peers, industry professionals, and academics. I will ensure that all events include social time and interactive activities.

Members: I am committed to engaging with members and listening to their feedback. I will conduct surveys and gather feedback after each event to improve future events. I will also encourage members to get involved in event planning.

As your Events Officer, I will ensure that the society's events are inclusive, engaging, and informative. We can make the Energy Society an exciting and dynamic community again!

Thank you for considering my candidacy.
