Siya Goyal

Hi everyone, I’m Siya and will be going into my second year as BSc Econ Student!

Enactus is a society I truly value due to its social impact and its transformative capabilities. I am keen to further improve the society as Treasurer through accurate budget allocation, financial planning and the mitigation of risks.

I have experience in financial control and budgeting through my accountancy experience at Deloitte and strong mathematical abilities. I am extremely organised which is a key attribute of a treasurer: I balance my university work with being an Economics Correspondent at the UCL Tribune, M&A Analyst at Sortino Group and netball team commitments. I understand the importance of communication and teamwork in this role and will do my best to ensure everyone’s objectives are met!

Thank you for reading and I hope you vote for me!

Mariya Kachwala

Social entrepreneurship and bringing a difference is the core of Enactus, and I am confident that as a person who is really passionate about social entrepreneurship in a role of the treasurer I’ll be able to communicate this message across!

Having worked with two different pan-Indian NGOs for two years in the sectors of metal health, education and nature, I believe I know first hand what are the expectations and problems that non-profits face and because of this I believe I will do my best to market the society’s client projects and opportunities in order to get the best and the most passionate people to work with them.

Additionally, having shared the lens of working in NGOs from the inside I also realise their need for exposure and if gotten an opportunity, I will do my best to work in tandem with the rest of the committee in building budgets to use our resources in the most efficient manner, bringing in the best sponsors to help people like us in carrying our project journeys forward and being an active point of contact to increase the transparency of how the committee works.

Therefore, if you believe I am upto the task of fulfilling this responsibility, please VOTE for me and I can surely say you won’t be disappointed.

Thank you for taking out the time to read this! I really appreciate it:)

Esther Kwong

Hi everyone! I’m Esther and I’d like to run for Treasurer at Enactus. I have a passion for creating our own projects to tackle the world’s toughest problems to create a social impact that will last. Through participating in various volunteering activities both in my home city, Hong Kong, and in London, it makes me reflect on our privilege as UCL students, and how we can make a positive impact on our society and help those less privileged. I believe that as we are privileged, we should then utilize it to give back to those in need as much as we can and create solutions that help deal with the underlying problems.

I have previously held the role of treasurer of the Psychology Society at school, where I learnt how to manage the money provided in the best way possible, to ensure smooth running of the society. Whilst helping organize fundraising activities for Birmingham Children’s Hospital and volunteering as Vaccination Volunteer at St Johns Ambulance, I learnt how to communicate efficiently and collaborate with those from a wide range of backgrounds in order to reach a common goal. I also developed organizational skills by juggling 5 A Levels in school, as well as volunteering activities and other societies. Through these experiences, I believe that I have the capability to become treasurer for Enactus and I understand what this role will entail. I am excited to further develop these skills together with other committee members and organizing more projects for our members!

Vania Dussizza

Hi everyone! I’m Vania, a first year studying Social Sciences with Data Science, aspiring to be your future treasurer. Enactus stands out to me due to its simultaneous focus on business and social work. As such, the prospect of deepening my role in this community of social innovators sparks my desire to take on this position.

As your treasurer, I would boost funds with more fundraising activities and allocate budgets effectively to further our impact projects, allowing members to hone entrepreneurship skills and strengthen relationships with each other. For instance, I envision more competitions among Enactus teams from various universities to facilitate students’ engagement with creative ideas on a practical level and spark connections among like-minded students. I am also extremely passionate about increasing UCL participation in the Enactus World Cup. I am eager to collaborate with all divisions, including the events and marketing directors, to further society cooperation and expand the scale of such events.

Responsibilities such as event planning as a first-year representative in Asset Management Society have helped me develop abilities positioning me as a great candidate for this role, such as collaborating with a diverse body of students and organising social and academic events. In the face of increasing social and environmental pressures, I am eager to underpin Enactus’s vision in enabling students to use innovation and business to build a more sustainable world.
