Effective Altruism Society: Events Executive

I am standing for Events Executive because I am committed to organising engaging events and socials that inspire our members to learn more about effective altruism and to take action to make the world a better place.

This year, after going through the intro fellowship and becoming oriented with Effective Altruism, I have had the pleasure of helping to organise a speaker event with an AI safety researcher as well as a career event that helped our members get a better idea of how they could make a positive impact with their careers.

Looking ahead to next year, I am excited about the opportunity to organise events that will help our members deepen their understanding of effective altruism and connect with others who share these values. I would like to organise more speaker events that bring in researchers and experts to share their insights on Effective Altruism and related topics. Additionally, I would like to plan socials that help our community grow.
