As a passionate economics student, I am thrilled to be standing for the position of economics VP. Throughout my academic career, I have developed a deep interest and understanding of economic principles, theories and policies that impact our daily lives. I am committed to using my knowledge and skills to promote EFS and contribute to the enrichment of the economics community at UCL.

One of the main reasons why I am running is to foster a sense of community among economics students. I believe that EFS should serve as a platform for students to engage with one another, share their ideas, and collaborate on projects that explore the various economic issues facing our world today. As VP, I would strive to create events and opportunities for students to connect with each other and help further their career goals.

Another goal I have as VP is to organize educational events and workshops that enhance the learning experience for those interested in economics. I would work with EFS to create events that not only educate but also inspire students to apply their knowledge in innovative ways.

As Vice President, I would work to invite guest speakers and experts to our institution to provide insight and expertise on current economic issues. I believe that this exposure to industry leaders and professionals would enhance students' understanding of how economic principles are applied in real-world settings, and it would encourage students to pursue careers in the field of economics.

Economics is often misrepresented. People assume it that is solely about money and banking, however it can be used as a tool to explain what happens around us.

I am standing for this role to make Economics accessible to all and to be able to develop people's understanding of the subject and its applications. Having an understanding of Economics can help individuals to approach problems from alternate angles on top of being able to analyse the current political and economic climate.

Being able to contribute to the E&F society will bring me a great deal of joy as it is an opportunity to connect with like minded people and I will have fulfilled my aspiration of contributing to this historic society.
